ABOUT THE ROLE

Job Purpose

The C&B Accountant is responsible for the accurate, timely and compliant execution of Cash & Banking activities, including bank statement processing, payments, reconciliations and period‑end closing.
The role provides operational support to Treasury activities, ensuring high quality, control and continuous improvement across cash‑related processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Process daily bank statements in an accurate and timely manner
  • Prepare, control and execute outgoing and incoming payments
  • Perform bank account and transitory account reconciliations
  • Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities within the C&B scope
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures and control requirements
  • Support Treasury‑related processes within the assigned scope (e.g. cash movements, liquidity‑related activities, FX‑related postings and reporting)
  • Cooperate with Treasury, EBS and other Finance stakeholders to ensure smooth end‑to‑end cash processes
  • Perform activities in a detailed, systematic and conscious manner, with strong focus on accuracy, controls and documentation
  • Work independently, managing assigned tasks end‑to‑end
  • Take ownership for timely completion and correct resolution of tasks
  • Analyse and resolve routine issues independently within the defined authority level
  • Demonstrate high adaptability to changes in systems, processes, regulations and business requirements
  • Actively lead and contribute to improvement initiatives, including efficiency, standardisation and automation

 

Qualifications & Experience Required

 

Education, Master, other certification

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

 

Experience

  • Relevant experience in Accounting or Cash & Banking processes
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience

 

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems, treasury management systems, or banking systems (as a plus)

 

Languages Skills

  • Advanced English (B2/C1)
