ABOUT THE ROLE

Job Purpose

You are responsible for leading the end‑to‑end operation of IT/OT services and infrastructure within the plant, ensuring system stability, availability, and business continuity. You work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Corporate IT teams to support critical manufacturing systems and enable industrial digitalization initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily IT/OT operations (incidents, problems, changes) following ITIL standards
  • Monitor and maintain IT/OT systems to ensure optimal performance and availability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in critical production systems, ensuring minimal disruption
  • Maintain IT/OT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and industrial clients
  • Manage IT/OT asset lifecycle, inventory, and technical documentation
  • Execute business continuity and disaster recovery activities, including testing and improvements
  • Ensure compliance with corporate IT standards and cybersecurity guidelines (patching, backups, antivirus)
  • Support deployment of digital solutions (e.g. MES, SCADA, Smart Factory initiatives)
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Production, Engineering, Maintenance) to coordinate technical actions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and IT/OT operational excellence

 

 

Qualifications & Experience Required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • ITIL certification is a plus

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT/OT operations or industrial IT environments
  • Experience working in manufacturing or plant environments
  • Experience supporting critical systems in 24/7 environments

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of IT/OT infrastructures (networks, servers, industrial systems)
  • Experience with industrial technologies (e.g. PLCs, SCADA, MES environments) is a plus
  • Familiarity with monitoring, ticketing, and asset management tools
  • Understanding of cybersecurity practices in industrial environments
  • Experience with backup, patching, and disaster recovery processes

Languages

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken)

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management
  • Team collaboration across technical and non‑technical teams
