ABOUT THE ROLE

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Functional Analyst, preferably with a background in the manufacturing sector and specific expertise in production planning and scheduling.

Job Purpose

As a Functional Analyst, you will participate in the implementation of the APS (Advanced Planning & Scheduling) commercial solution (Quintiq Scheduler from Dassault Systems) across Bridgestone EMEA manufacturing plants. You will join the EMEA IT Manufacturing team, which is responsible for implementing the Smart Factory program across EMEA plants. The EMEA Smart Factory program aims to enhance manufacturing plant performance through digitalization.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze business requirements from multiple European plants.
  • Translate operational needs into clear and prioritized user stories and functional specifications.
  • Define and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate with the development team, supporting the Agile delivery cycle.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of newly released features.
  • Act as the go-to contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring ongoing communication and alignment.
  • Improve APS usability, stability, and integration (supporting current Product Owners).
  • Define and roll out standardized APS processes across facilities (supporting current Product Owners).
  • Strengthen documentation, training, and knowledge sharing (supporting current Product Owners).
  • Balance plant-specific customization with a standard core and drive continuous improvement based on feedback and performance (supporting current Product Owners).

Qualifications & Experience Required

Education, Master, other certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Economics/Business.
  • Lean certification or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Agile (SCRUM, PO) certification is a plus.

Experience (years)

  • 3+ years of experience in the Manufacturing domain implementing APS solutions.
  • Proven experience as Functional Analyst or in similar roles (Business Analyst, IT/OT Project Manager).
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams for multi-site implementations.
  • Previous professional experience in a tire manufacturing company.
  • Technical/functional experience of Dassault Systems (Quintiq) is considered a strong asset.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and direct experience with production scheduling systems or planning tools (APS, MES, ERP).
  • Strong familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Languages Skills

  • English proficiency at C1 level (oral and written).
  • Knowledge of other European languages (Polish, Spanish, Italian) is a plus.

Soft/Behavioral Skills

  • Good leadership and communication skills to lead small teams, drive project execution, and enable timely decision making.
