ABOUT THE ROLE

 

About the Role

Job Purpose:

Act as a strategic financial partner to regional business leaders, providing insightful analysis, financial planning, and decision support to drive profitable growth and operational efficiency. The role is responsible for translating financial data into actionable business insights, ensuring alignment between financial performance and strategic objectives, and supporting effective resource allocation across the region. By challenging assumptions, identifying risks and opportunities, and promoting financial discipline, the Regional Finance Business Partner plays a key role in enabling informed decision-making and delivering sustainable value

 

Responsibilities:

 

General Management

  • Act as key partner of the Regional Director for Business units in the achievement of the Company’s Mid Term Plan target, strategy and policy.
  • Take responsibility for managing the key operations teams at head office, comprising the Finance Team, Credit Team, Accounting & Controls, controlling and general services.
  • Identifies sources of financial risks, cost and profit opportunities and closely cooperate with other non-financial directors / managers to develop and implement appropriate business projects and actions.
  • Assist in preparing and evaluating business cases, as well as monitoring and acting on results
  • Be a key part of, and contribute significantly to the South West Region Leadership Team

 

Financial Reporting and Controlling

  • Responsible for the coordination, production and reporting of the Actual, Budget and Mid Term Plan financial results towards the Managing Director and the Executive Team as well as   the European Head Office.
  • Perform analysis, provide explanation of variances and make relevant recommendations supporting Top Management for effective decision making, always aiming to achieve Company’s objectives.
  • OPEX monitor and actively working with the different functions to manage spending in line with the company performance
  • Management of working capital – receivables/inventory/payables; control of company assets.

 

Credit Management

  • Ensure that the Company’s level of risk exposure taken towards the customer’s portfolio, managed by the Credit Dept., remains well balanced and under control in order to achieve targets.
  • Ensure credit reviews are performed and payment plans are in place and executed.

 

Accounting, Controls & Facilities

  • Supervise and ensure that all activities performed in the Accounting Dept. of the Shared Service are done in compliance with legal & tax requirements, as well as both South West region and Group requirements procedures.
  • Establish internal control procedures and ensure that administrative, accounting, credit and financial procedures and policy standards are respected and maintained over time.
  • Support Internal-External Audit and SOX activities performed at South West region and ensure timely remediation of the audit finding
  • Ensure that all regulations and requirement for a legal company are met with regards to financial and tax laws.

 

People Management

  • Responsible for the implementation of the most effective administrative organization, pushing automatization of processes & optimizing use of resources in line with overall company strategy.
  • People management: including talent development, coaching, as well as teambuilding and motivation.

 

 

Requirements:

 

Education: University Degree of Finance, Economics and Accounting. ACCA / CIMA / other Financial Recognized Qualification.

Language Skills: Spanish and Fluent English. Portuguese can be considered a plus.

Profesional Experience: >8/10 years of experience as Finance and Administration Manager or Director in Commercial/Sales Environment and International & Matrix environment manufacturing. Team management experience in a matrix organization.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong Positive Leadership, Entrepreneurship and strong communication skills - Ability to think strategically, while also being practical and hands-on.
  • Open minded; flexible with good customer focus and commercial sensitiveness.
  • Analytical skills, precise, rigorous and familiarity with numbers.
  • Ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines; Act as Business Partner; Cross Functional Team (CFT) approach.
  • Strong IT skills and deep knowledge of ERP system, Reporting tools and Office – Excel-Access-Powerpoint advanced level.
