Job Purpose
Bridgestone is looking for a Draughtsman Graduate to join our team and gain practical experience within a world-class manufacturing environment.
This graduate programme is designed to provide hands-on exposure to drafting, engineering design and manufacturing operations while developing the technical and professional skills required to build a successful career in the automotive industry.
Working closely with engineering, maintenance and project teams, you will apply your academic knowledge in a practical environment, contribute to operational improvement initiatives and gain valuable industry experience.
Responsibilities

Assist with the creation, updating and maintenance of technical and engineering drawings.

Prepare engineering drawings, layouts, schematics and supporting design documentation.

Support engineering and plant projects through accurate drafting and effective documentation control.

Collaborate with engineers, maintenance teams and other project stakeholders to ensure drawings are accurate and compliant with applicable standards.

Apply drafting and engineering design principles to support operational and technical requirements.

Contribute to plant improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and performance.

Participate in safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain accurate and well-organised technical documentation.

Ensure adherence to Bridgestone's safety, environmental and quality standards.
Qualifications & Experience Required
Education, Master, Other Certification
A Bachelor's Degree, BTech or relevant postgraduate qualification in one of the following fields:

Mechanical Engineering

Draughting
-
Engineering Design
-
Mechatronics
-
A related technical or engineering field
Experience
-
Recent graduate, typically having completed the relevant qualification within the past two years.

Previous workplace experience is not essential; relevant internships, vacation work or practical academic projects would be beneficial.

A strong academic record and demonstrated achievement in relevant coursework and/or extracurricular activities are advantageous.
Technical Skills

Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Sound understanding of engineering drawing principles and standards.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing technical documentation.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
