ABOUT THE ROLE

 

   Job Purpose

   The purpose of a tire wheel alignment technician is to ensure

    Responsibilities:

 

  1. Vehicle, axle and wheel alignment
  • Check settings on vehicle (camber, castor, toe, thrust angles etc).
  • Compare with vehicle specifications
  • Adjust the vehicle alignment as per specifications
  • Tyre Fitting & Removal

 

  1. Machine set up, usage, housekeeping, and asset management
  • Machine must have updated vehicle specifications at all times.
  • Machine and its parts must be kept clean, neat and in good working condition
  • Machine must be calibrated regularly as specified
  • Ensure good use of equipment and its safe storage.
  • Give proper feedback to customer

 

  1. Customer care and sales
  • Be courteous to customers and always offer and give sound advice
  • Promote company at all times

 

  1. Health and Safety
  • Adheres to Health & Safety standards in the workplace and does not endanger other parties.
  • Complies with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Ensure Personal Safety Equipment and facilities provided by the company are in good and clean condition.
  1. General
  • Undertake all reasonable requests and instructions, given verbally or in writing that fall within the parameters of own line of duty.

 

 

    Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Code B Drivers Licence

    Education, Master, other certification:

  • Matric

     Experience (years):

  • 1 year

     Technical Skills:

  • Tyre and wheel alignment knowledge would be advantageous.

     Languages Skills:

  • Basic English Literacy

     Soft/Behavioral Skills:

  • Honesty
  • Integrity
  • Team player
