About the Role
Job Purpose
We are looking for a fleet auditor reporting directly to the Operations Manager. Our fleet audit team is a vital link between our Bridgestone Partner service providers and our fleet customers. We are the UK branch of Bridgestone Europe NV/SA based in our very modern offices at Tachbrook Park, Warwick.
This role will be located within the M25.
Responsibilities:
You will prepare and complete a monthly management report in detail, which will be sent to both Bridgestone & Veolia senior management. Your time must be split and prioritized into 3 categories – Auditing (50%) Training (20%) Reporting (30%).
- To audit every Veolia workshop location on a regularly defined rota (and/or Veolia customer premises agreed with your manager).
- To identify areas of in-efficiency or waste within the locations which have an impact of the tyre costs within the contract.
- To value the specific areas of waste and report back to your manager with a proposal of action to address key areas.
- To show and demonstrate these findings to the local Veolia workshop management and agree a training plan for either Veolia or Bridgestone Partner dealer personnel to improve these key areas.
- To check all removed casings at Veolia or allocated Bridgestone Partner dealer locations and ensure they have been removed as per the national tyre policy.
- Where tyres have been changed prematurely our outside of contract, to arrange allocated dealer to re-fit free of charge or populate sundry invoice for re-charge for loss of tread (send to your manager for approval).
- To identify removed casings which can be suitably repaired or regrooved and re-distributed to Veolia workshop.
- To identify casings that can be used for the Defleet process.
- To carry out casing inspections at our casing collectors or Bandag franchisee, to identify tyres which have been returned prematurely.
- To have any such tyres segregated and discuss with your line manager how we proceed (re-distribution, re-fit, re-charge).
- Ensure all movements are logged and reported to Veolia senior management for analysis and support monthly.
- Training and advising the Veolia workshops Managers in areas such as premature tyre removal, fitment of part worn stock & tyre management, importance of tyre pressures and MOT preparation.
- Work with each Veolia location so that they can self-audit and self-manage the process in the future.
- Identify training requirements for Bridgestone Partner dealers, fitting staff or dealer principles to work to our agreed procedures within the contract.
- Identify report on and mitigate any matters that might represent a risk to the business.
- The role may include occasional weekend working.
Qualifications & Experience Required
Education, Master, other certification:
- A full driving license is essential – you will be provided with a company van.
Technical Skills:
- Methodical and thorough approach to work, with particular emphasis on attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and not being afraid to question or challenge existing procedures.
- Experience in Microsoft products.
Soft/Behavioral Skills:
- High commitment to customer service levels, with a professional telephone manner
- The ability to liaise and communicate effectively.
- The ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative.
- The ability to work to targets and timescale, with high standards when it comes to quality.
