Role Summary:

Reporting the Regional Manager Director, BSMEA with a dotted line to the VP Brand Marketing BSEMIA, the Head of Marketing BSMEA, will be responsible of defining, coordinating and executing the marketing strategy for MEA in full alignment with BSEMIA Marketing Guidelines and MEA strategic priorities. The Head of Marketing will have a transversal role of all marketing activities in the region, ensuring through their team the proper implementation of Brand Platforms Activation, Trade Marketing, Mobility Marketing, Digital Marketing, Pricing and Strategic Planning. Finally the head of Marketing will be responsible of managing and controlling effectively the A&P resources and coordinating activities across the different involved areas & stakeholders both internally and externally.

 

Trade Marketing: Lead the development and execution of trade marketing strategies and tactical campaigns with our partners/distributors to increase opportunities for end customers to purchase products including incentives and promotions, while also increasing the overall value proposition for both partners and end customers.

Communications and PR: Oversight of both internal and external communications from a marketing perspective including content development. External communications includes Public Relations, Government Relations and CSR. Internally this will include company-wide communications related to organizational strategy and performance.

Branding: defining, coordinating and executing the marketing strategy for MEA in full alignment with BSEMIA Marketing Guidelines and MEA strategic priorities. The Head of Marketing will have a transversal role of all marketing activities in the region, ensuring through their team the proper implementation of Brand Platforms Activation, Trade Marketing, Mobility Marketing, Digital Marketing. Build Media plan through relevant media channels that align with target customer demographics (company website, social media, publications, email, radio/TV, face-to-face) to build compelling narratives and long term business and consumer relationships. Ensuring the consumer experience is in line with both the brand image and strategy, and monitoring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns & tactics.

Strategic Planning: Responsible for strategy and planning to align business operations with the company's mission and goals. Determining industry and competitive trends to identify emerging market opportunities and strategic areas of interest. Oversees the development of forecasting models that include KPI's on budgets, resource allocation, business goals, and steer / monitor as required.

Pricing: Develop pricing strategies for the BSMEA portfolio of current and future products across targeted customer/market segments. Leadership of pricing team to ensure clear insights and responsiveness.

 

Requirements:

To qualify candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of 15 years of professional experience and 5 years within a comparable Marketing leadership position.

 

  • Proven ability to provide vision and leadership within a diverse matrix environment.
  • Strong collaborative approach, able to build consensus and lead execution with superior project management skills.
  • Extensive experience in successfully developing and executing marketing campaigns and promotional strategies.
  • Strong agency management experience with extensive budget forecasting and management expertise.
  • Creative and able to leverage market intelligence insights to deliver high impact campaigns.
  • Significant experience in trade marketing, with a strong knowledge of Middle East Markets, with North Africa experience highly beneficial.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
  • Highly commercial and able to capitalize on the latest trends and innovations with a particular focus upon digital tools, techniques and best practices.
  • Prior experience within e-commerce platforms and relevant digital ecosystems. 
  • Superior communications and PR expertise to enhance the BSMEA corporate profile and drive engagement with key initiatives including sustainability.
  • Strong Social media knowledge to lead BSMEA approach across relevant social platforms.
  • Proven ability to develop brand strategies and effectively communicate across BSMEA markets.
  • In-depth strategic planning experience, able to effectively collaborate with leadership teams to develop mid to long terms strategic insights and objectives for the BSMEA organization.
  • Prior pricing experience in the identification and review of pricing and market trends and adept at the incorporation of pricing analysis into strategies for individual market segments.
  • Able to monitor business climate, trends in technology and development, and government activity in BSMEA markets and respond accordingly.
  • Hands-on with excellent analytical and decision-making skills to deliver critical initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working within a global organization and working with global and / or regional customers and counterparts, and working with different cultures.
  • Experience managing budget and P&L
