ABOUT THE ROLE

JOB PURPOSE

 

To manage and provide technical support as required for delivery of all the mechanical and electrical equipment 
required to achieve organisational goals.
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

 

• Reduce machine downtime 
• Repair breakdowns & do fault finding. 
• Daily walkthrough inspections. 
• Make running adjustments. 
• Note items for repair. 
• Continuous improvement initiatives 
• Work according to SOPs. 
• Ensure Housekeeping 
• Apply 3S principles. 
• Ownership – to see the bigger picture and take ownership by thinking and acting beyond the role. 

 

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE  

 

• Qualified as a Millwright (Trade test at a recognized institution)  
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the mechanical field on rotation machinery, hydraulics and pneumatics in a 
manufacturing environment.   
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the tyre manufacturing and automotive industry will be an advantage.
