The EMIA R&D Centre plays a leading role in tyre material research, tyre design and development, fast-prototyping, and all forms of testing. It’s at the forefront of the work we’re doing to fulfil Bridgestone’s vision for the tyre of the future.
The EMIA R&D Centre is home to some of the brightest minds in mobility. Almost 600 Bridgestone engineers, chemists, data analysists, test drivers, technicians and support staff from over 15 nationalities are based in the EMIA R&D Centre’s labs, plants, testing facilities and 70km of tracks.

Digital Garage
The EMIA R&D Centre is also home to our Digital Garage, an open innovation platform established to connect digital, analytical and engineering skills inside and outside our business to provide solutions that deliver convenience, data-based insight and maximum efficiency. We invite the leading technology companies, universities, and start-ups to join us there and collaborate on projects that are at the cutting-edge of digital Trends.
