POSITION DESCRIPTION

Purpose

 

The LSCM (Logistics & Supply Chain Management) HQ Regional Business Controller supports with an high degree of autonomy the LSCM EMEA Finance Lead in the business control activities for LSCM HQ OPEX, LSCM EU CAPEX, LSCM EU Finished Goods Inventory, and LSCM EU Operational KPIs.

Job Content

 

1) LSCM HQ Cost Centres Opex Controlling

 

  • Accountable of the monthly closing process for LSCM HQ Cost Centres, preparation of the monthly LSCM Performance Packages for LSCM Headquarter Organization, PDCA Project Cards.
  • Analyse cost variances, identify and comment deviations from forecasts/budgets.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for HQ OPEX Cost Centres in close cooperation with LSCM Department Heads and Project Leaders, enabling the LSCM Finance.
  • Lead to perform actual, forecast and budget reviews with senior management.

 

2) Finished Goods Inventory Excess Inventory and Obsolescence Provision

 

  • Develops, review and enhance financial and non-financial analyses focusing on Finished Goods Inventory and Obsolescence across European Distribution Centres.
  • Drives the adoption of insight based, high quality decision making throughout managerial reporting for Finished Goods Inventory.
  • Holds the accountability for the inventory obsolescence and excess provision calculation across the European LSCM Finished Goods warehouses.


3) EMEA Logistics Capex Business Cases Governance

 

  • Acts as process owner for the Business Case DCF calculation model, interacts autonomously with the LSCM Regional Business Controllers as well as business counterparts in LSCM Business, Corporate Finance, Accounting Service Centre, Corporate Capex Controller. 
  • Reviews LSCM European Capital Appropriation Requests and prepare/validate associated financial analysis before sign-off from the LSCM Finance Lead.

 

4) LSCM Performance Citizen Developer

 

  • Drives and optimizes the KPI reporting of the EMEA Performance Management Cockpit, a Power-BI and Azure based reporting system to track operational key metrics impacting the financial results (Opex or Cash Flow).
  • Autonomously enhance and develop Power BI Reports, Semantic Models, Datasets in the technical framework of the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Leads from Business (Finance) standpoint complex reporting projects cooperating with Bridgestone IT in the technical framework of the Microsoft Azure Platform.

 

5) Compliance J-SOX Control Owner

 

  • Accountable to prepare and collect approvals for the Inventory Adjustments across European Distribution Centres on a monthly basis.
  • Accountable to verify and validate the Finished goods scrapping requests submitted by the FG Warehouses.

 

Previous Work Experiences:

 

  • 5 years of work experience in business controlling roles in industrial companies.
  • Experience in handling large data sets, excellent analytical skills & ability to convert data into information.
  • Previous experience or willingness to learn the Microsoft Power Platform tools as Citizen Developer. 
  • ERP systems knowledge, preferably in SAP modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, SAP BW).
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), Power BI, Analysis for Office.
  • Experience with working in a matrix organization / complex international business environment.
